LIVING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
The key to a healthy lifestyle is safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition. Healthy habits can be hard to create and stick to. We get it, it’s not easy - but we are here to help. Beyond guiding your fitness journey, we provide nutritional guidance and help create a plan that works for you.

IT'S A LIFESTYLE
Focusing solely on weight loss, as many diets do, can potentially be harmful and short-lived. Good nutrition as a lifestyle is much more sustainable and enjoyable. The key to sound nutrition is making it a part of your lifestyle - it's about nourishing your body, having enough energy and your overall wellness.

CONSISTENCY IS KEY
Consistency can be one of the most challenging aspects of nutrition, however, it is the key to sustaining a healthy lifestyle. From empowering you to meet daily goals to making routines automatic, consistency helps you stay motivated. Start with realistic expectations and avoid an 'all or nothing' approach. Clean eating will become a way of life for you.

EAT REAL FOOD
The impact of real food on your health and performance versus processed is unparalleled. Real food is food that can go bad - think the perimeter of the grocery store where you can find fresh vegetables, fruit and meat. This food is loaded with important nutrients, is heart healthy, and high in fiber.

TRACK WHAT YOU EAT
Monitoring what you eat and drink can be one of the most powerful tools in managing your nutrition. By journaling what you eat or drink, how much and when gives you a holistic view of your nutrition, allows you to identify trends, and helps you maintain consistency. There are numerous methods of tracking what you ingest, from mobile apps to notes on a laptop/tablet to writing in a notebook.

INCLUDE PROTEIN
Protein is a key facet in any nutritional program. It is essential to help repair and build muscle, and to maintain optimal muscle health. Lean meats, fish, eggs, dairy and legumes are all great sources of protein. Protein is most effective when consumed throughout the day versus only before or after a workout.

IT'S OK TO INDULGE
An 'all or nothing' approach to clean eating may help some see success, but for the majority, it's not realistic. You can still enjoy that cookie or piece of pizza, but do so in moderation. It's important to continue to track this though to maintain accountability and understand how it affects your body. Once clean eating becomes habitual, 'junk' food won't have the same effect it once did.
