We focus on utilizing weightlifting, body weight movements, gymnastics movements and cardio to help you reach your fitness goals. It may sound scary and out of your comfort zone, but don't let it keep you from trying something new. We focus on ensuring all movements are being performed properly before adding weight or trying advanced movements. Everything we do is rooted in the foundation of all movements - this helps us make sure you are getting the most out of your workout and avoiding any injury along the way.

A TYPICAL CLASS

Each workout starts with a programmed warm-up and mobility. A good foundation is instrumental to your success. 

Following mobility, the coach will lead the class in each of the weightlifting or metcon movements before starting the workout. The rest of the workout will be sure to challenge you and leave you with a sense of accomplishment. ​

Throughout the hour long class, the coach will ensure you are doing the movements correctly and help you scale wherever needed.

I was extremely skeptical when I walked through the doors of NorthStar CrossFit. Aaron [my husband] spent 5 months convincing me that this was a good idea and something we could do together. On November 5, 2019, before a workout, I snapped the pic on the left thinking it would be good to document my progress, if there would even be any! Looking back at my attitude I’m amazed I even made friends. But the crew that makes up our NorthStar Nation fam are some of my great friends! I love them. Workouts were hard, but I modified and gladly accepted the challenge. During quarantine I kept working through the WODs at home, but realistically, I spent 2 months away from the gym. We’re back at it now folks (June 2020)! I am so happy to be in the gym again with my NorthStar Fam.
